The Lost Division now has a new ranked Bad Company 2 server running 16 slots.
Please show some patience till the admins learn about rotations and different game types and maps., as we all will have to.

Would it possible for the server to be limited to invitation only, say via ventrilo or chat for the first couple of weeks, so we can learn the game amongst ourselves and friends?

It can be, but it would be a great way to discourage people from possibly joinging at a later date. I don't think we really want the experience of the BF2 server, i.e. empty all the time. We'll learn the maps on the fly, whilst dodging tanks and snipers, lol

So is bad company 2 the next BF2 or is that BF1943 or BF3 ????

Neither, It's another EA Battlefield series. BF 1943 and BF3 are yet to come out. Bad Company 2 is similar I guess to BF2. Squads, tanks, APC's, helicopters, no jets or commanders. 4 or 5 different game types, option of hard core and different maps.

Won't the cost come out of our membership fees? If not, sing out and I'll sling some green your way as well. Also, will LD members have priority over the general public? (ie: kick off the players that are kicking our arses)
