Guys, seeing we have a friends lis t on BC2, lets get some player names together

 Well Alf and an old [AC-DC] clan mate are showing in my friends list. Others are still AWOL though.
Will probably jump on one of the EAPlay ones this evening. Want to have a look around the map and try various classes if the server is empty.

 Okay couple of tricks for finding servers and improving performance.

Servers:- If you open Gamesettings.ini in Documents\BFBC2Beta (use notepad not a word processor) you can manually add servers to favourites and recent. There does seem to be a limit on how many are displayed as too many entries drop some off. So in gamesettings.ini there is two entries
RecentGames=
and
FavoriteGames=
Mine looks like this

Note that that is too many for the in game lists so not all show up, need to trim it down to about 6 or 8 I think.
Listed servers are shown on the right hand flyout of the lobby.

For performance issue:- My HD 4850 on a core 2 duo 3Ghz with 4Gb ram was lagging in game so I locked the game to DX9 mode. This also seems to reduce the "glariness" somewhat, although not sure how it affects your ability to see enemies etc, so need to do some comparisons.

Open settings.ini in Documents\BFBC2Beta and scroll down to where it says DxVersion=Auto
Change this to DxVersion=9 and the game will be locked in DX 9 mode, reducing the video and perhaps CPU load.
