Dammy,
I added the server in favourites, but it took about 5 mins idling time before it worked. So went and had a coffee and it had finished and remained in favourites.

Ah might try that then, I gave up after only a minute or two of it sitting there updating.

Been a while!

I love it!
Destruction makes it just that much more fun to blast away with a tank (one of my favourite things to do)

I think its the best FPS game to come out in 3 or so years.

Its a lot more balanced than BF2 was, a major plus. Hated being able to do nothing about the jets in the air when you were a footsoldier in BF2. Any role you play has an easy counter attack. Choppers are a little harder to drop, but not if you have a team that realises shooting HMG's at them will eventually drop them. My favourite trick is to tracer dart them, and watch as every engy on the map becomes a potential AA SAM (provided they know how to lock on to a tracer...which nobody does >.<)

Weapons are accurate and recoil is manageable. Action is usually always fast paced, and teamwork is key. I've seen one good squad decimate a team because they were working together. Squads are limited to 4, but if you have one of each class you can do anything and everything. Engis have a lot of killing power now too, RPG's will kill with splash damage, and blast the walls enemies are hiding behind. I've even killed 5 enemies with one RPG, by levelling the building they were inside

It reminds me a lot of BF2142, its balanced and any role can be successful depending on how you play, regardless of what you come up against. No more dolphin diving spam like BF2, and not gay like CoD. Winrar.

Gripes: Inability to choose seperate mouse sensitivities for vehicles. It makes turning the turret around on the tanks feel like your Commanding a Tiger I. I had to set up high DPI settings so I change it on the mouse when I jump in a tank.
And of course, the fscked server browser.

Awesome game. 4.5/5

Yeah I saw the LD server pop up once (after waiting for 3 minutes) in the server browser. Of course, like every Aussie server that shows up in the browser, it was full, so I didn't get a chance to jump on it. When I have the chance though I will be lurking

There's been an interesting file released for BC2 that lets you change settings that can't be normally changed.
As follows.

This launcher allows players to easily edit hidden graphics settings such as DirectX Level, FoV, Water Detail, Shadows detail and many many more! Made by GossamerSolid of the awpaholica.com Gaming Community.

Gossamer's Bad Company 2 Launcher
Version 1.1

This tool is meant for players to be able to modify settings that are not changeable from the In-Game settings menu. These are normally found in the settings.ini file in your MyDocuments\BFBC2.

What this application does is load all your settings in and allows you to change them all, save them directly back to the settings.ini file then directly launch your game.

Features:
+ Directly Launch Bad Company 2
+ Change Every Single Graphics Option (Including Direct X Level, Field of View, Shadows Detail, etc)
+ Clean GUI-based application for easy navigation
+ Works with Steam, Retail, Direct 2 Drive copies and more
+ Many more features!

Available through Click Here
