Ok doesn't seem to be a thread for this yet so lets start.
Pre-order is up on Steam now for those wanting to get in early, as well as some trailers.
Looks ok but a couple of things I notice that will probably irritate me.
There seems to be constant on screen things saying how many points you got for this or that or the other, plus HUD icons showing where the flags are. Very Console IMO. I hope at least you can turn off the you got xx points crap. Plus looks like you need to get the limited edition to get some unlocks. WTF?
On the plus side more destructible environment look cool and the "tracking darts" should make it hell for the airborne stuff etc.

I'd give a good portion of my left nut just for a bit of camaraderie in a game nowadays. MW2 looks shiny but by Christ there's some lousy gameplay and exploiting going on. Bring on BC2, hopefully it will have the atmosphere that BF2 had

We can hope so, we can hope, although may be a matter of picking your servers. Sent off an email to EA last night asking for at least one official EA BC2 dedicated server. Hopefully they will provide one.

Solid was asking about BC2 last night, apparently they offering a heap of perks when you pre-order. Are these perks special to what will come with the game or a con to pre-order?

.. and I recon those bots on CoH/Blitz last night had some lousy gameplay and exploiting going on too !! I demand a rematch

Not sure on the extra perks. EA says
The full list of six unlocks are as follows:

Four vehicle warfare unlocks
• Improved Vehicle Armor – An up-armor package is mounted on all vehicle types, decreasing the effect of both explosive and penetrating warheads, significantly improving vehicle survivability.
• Supreme Vehicle Firepower – Additional weapon packages are mounted for the driver of all armored vehicles, greatly expanding the range of targets the vehicle can successfully engage and destroy.
• Vehicle Motion Sensor – Use this electronics warfare package to locate enemy units in direct proximity to the vehicle.
• Tracer Dart Pistol – This magnetic dart attaches to any vehicle surface, allowing squad members to track, lock on, and fire rockets onto moving targets even beyond line of sight.

Two classic Battlefield 1943™ weapons
• M1A1 Submachine Gun – Reliable but heavy this classic weapon is a powerful force in the hands of any Battlefield veteran.
• M1911 Pistol – Highly customized M1911 are favored for its dependability and the power of its large .45 caliber round.

Oh and only 8 maps apparently. Bit light on map wise. Suppose they are going to bring out map packs at certain intervals, all of which will have to be paid for.

Depends on whether we want to get back to scriming or just enjoy playing and each others company and also if we have the numbers when needed..
I'll remain neutral on this one and go with the flow

pre ordering gets you the perks early on, but if you dont pre order you'll eventually unlock them through whatever ranking system they have, i think
