Try blowing the dust and crap out of it, espec the vid card cooler. The ducted VGA coolers are a bugger for getting blocked. otherwise try reseating the ram and videocard, especially as the PC has been transported recently.

pete, managed to find the LD AIX server but it is in vanilla conquest mode, not AIX coop. So BF2cc daemon is probably nor running either.

More than likely your mobo is dual channel. If so, 2 or 4 sticks. Looking at the mobo, it will be obvious. It'll have 6 slots or 4 (generally).
If dual channel, two sticks (one in eaach paired off slots should work
