I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.

"Why?" my daughter asked.

"Because it's been laying outside, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Wow! How do you know all this stuff?"

"Uh," I was thinking quickly, "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy." We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.

"OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy."

"Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face and joy in my heart.

How were the bones?
bullet atomicali on Wednesday 15 February 2012 - 04:14:35
Well was in Launceston today and while waiting for the radioactive dye to spread though my bones for the bone scan I went shopping and ended up getting a Kobo Touch Click Here at Officeworks for $143.00.

True in regards to battery life. I find a tablet most useful in having my outlook contacts always available when the PC is off. Same with email and browsing. I think you'll find a "tablet far more versatile than any dedicated e reader. I think the Acers are the cheapest. The Ipad is expensive but has a fantastic screen. The Ipad 3 to be released next month is even better
bullet atomicali on Monday 13 February 2012 - 13:34:15
Platform? First few books have been Epubs.
Most Ereaders seem to be 6" and would like something a tad bigger if not too expensive.
From a bit of research the ereaders with eink screens seem to be more readable than a standard tablet type screen, plus have a much longer battery life than the standard LCD types.
bullet alf_ppp on Monday 13 February 2012 - 09:52:40
which platform in the lounge chair?
bullet atomicali on Monday 13 February 2012 - 08:52:14
I am trying out kobo reader for ebooks Pete but I want a portable solution too.
Something I can use while in the lounge chair.
bullet atomicali on Monday 13 February 2012 - 08:51:12
Well that's the poppies harvested, about 4 hours to do 8 hectares. Now to see if we make any $$ out of them.
bullet alf_ppp on Monday 13 February 2012 - 07:50:09
I'll anwer for now Ali. Karen will get btu later. I use Calibre on the PC
bullet atomicali on Monday 13 February 2012 - 07:26:05

Pitot tube... used to measure air pressure and speeg at the front of the airdraft for airspeed and barametric altitude
calculations. All aircraft and helicopters have them.
